CarbonCare InnoLab presents 55 CarbonCare® Label

A sustainable future requires collective efforts from various parties. While businesses pursue economic growth, they must also consider environmental protection and social responsibility to achieve long-term healthy governance goals. CarbonCare® Label demonstrates the commitment of corporates and institutions to carbon reduction and sustainable development, providing them with credible certification for their efforts. Deloitte CarbonCare Asia is the trademark owner of CarbonCare® Label, while CarbonCare InnoLab (CCIL) as the issuing body.

Following the “Decoding COP29: Financing a Just Transition for Hong Kong” seminar, CCIL hosted 2024 CarbonCare® Label Award Ceremony, presenting a total of 55 CarbonCare® Label to 38 companies and organisations, recognising their commitment in the past year in addressing climate change. CCIL also noted that most awardees have further reduced carbon emissions and improved their environmental, social, and governance reporting this year, contributing to the implementation of the Paris Agreement and Hong Kong's goal of achieving carbon neutrality by 2050. Among them, Jebsen Group, Jebsen Motors and their 21

Porsche locations offering sales, aftersales and other services across eight major cities in Greater China, along with TREE Limited, received the CarbonCare® Champion Label. Fortune REIT and Kerry Properties Limited have both received the Level 4 - the highest level of the CarbonCare® ESG Label. Additionally, 15 companies and organisations were awarded the CarbonCare® Star Label to commend their ongoing efforts.

CCIL’s Executive Director Ivy Leung pointed out that as the government introduces the Roadmap on Sustainability Disclosure in Hong Kong, which requires listed companies and large financial institutions to adopt the International Sustainability Standards Board (ISSB) guidelines by 2028, the business sector will soon face stricter climate regulatory requirements. Establishing a climate talent pool is essential to enhance companies' ability to address climate risks and collaborate with civil society to fulfill corporate social responsibilities.
