Eligibility

Will be aged between 18 and 30
on the date that you attend the training

Hong Kong
Identity Card holder

Equipped with language, communication,
problem-solving and leadership skills

Who Should Apply?

Able to commit a significant amount of time throughout the programme duration and willing to undertake a year-long community project

Possess a strong enthusiasm in climate change, environmental and social justice issues

Have an interest in making a positive difference through campaigning and advocacy.

Demonstrate a desire to participate in local or international climate actions or advocacy efforts.

Commit to serving the Hong Kong community, preferably with commendable experience in innovation or community service

Can commit to our Climate Advocacy Training for Youth Programme around 4 months in Hong Kong and work in groups on a year-long community-based advocacy project

Curriculum Vitae

Copies of certificates of academic/professional qualifications (where applicable)

Official or unofficial transcripts of tertiary level studies (where applicable)

A 600 -word personal statement in Chinese, introducing yourself, explaining the reasons why you want to join our programme, and sharing your perspective on climate advocacy, and;

An 800 - 2,000 -word essay in English on one of the following topics：

a) To what extent has the adaptation plan of Hong Kong effectively addressed the challenges posed by climate change? Discuss and evaluate the plan's effectiveness in building resilience among vulnerable communities in Hong Kong.
b) Please select one specific climate justice issue that is relevant to either Hong Kong or the international community. Once you have chosen the issue, kindly outline the problems associated with it, identify the impacted groups of people, propose potential solutions, and explain the importance of climate justice in addressing this particular issue.
c) A proposal for a climate advocacy campaign in Hong Kong

Fee of the Programme

This training is free with the support of funding for all successful applicants. Certificate of participation will be awarded to participants fulfilling 80% attendance rate of all modules.

Fill in the online application form

Submit all supporting documents and essays by 20 March 2024 (Wednesday) to Iris Chung: iris.chung@ccinnolab.org,
with an email titled [CATY 2024_Your full name].

Shortlisted applicants will be invited for an interview during March and April 2024. All late submissions of application or required documents will not be considered.
